Privacy Policy

        TL;DR: Flixr is built with privacy in mind. We do not know who you are, we do not track your browsing history, and we do not sell any data. We only look at movie titles to show you their ratings.
    

1. Data Handling

Flixr handles Website Content (specifically movie and TV show titles). When you open a title on Netflix, the extension reads that title to fetch ratings. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers or linked to any personal identity.

2. No Personal Information

We do not collect, store, or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, or location data.

3. Local Storage

To provide a faster experience, ratings are cached locally on your browser using the chrome.storage.local API. This data remains on your device and is automatically cleared after 30 days. We do not have access to this local data.

4. Third-Party Services

Our extension communicates with a private API hosted on Vercel to retrieve public ratings from OMDb. No user-identifying information is shared with these services.

5. Security

All communication between the extension and our ratings API is conducted over secure HTTPS encrypted connections.
